Smart shopping

Some people think that just by hitting the sales they are shopping smart but there are so many other ways to get a bargain and save loads of money.

Shopping online will give the biggest savings to your purse. The extent of how much you want to save depends on you. There are numerous ways to save that extra bit of cash and the main way of saving money is of course, the sales. Sales are happening constantly on the web, all you have to do is shop around. There are thousands of shops on the net, far more than your high street could accommodate. Don’t just buy from the first sale you come across as you can guarantee that it will be being sold elsewhere for less.

You can sign up to email newsletters and alerts from most of shopping sites and there are certain sites that aggregate all the news of sales and special events for lots of shops and send it directly to you.

Voucher codes for ecommerce sites can be easily obtained from many affiliate sites that will often give you free delivery or an extra 10% off any purchases as well as voucher codes there are special affiliate sites that give you points for each purchase made through their site, these can then be redeemed for something nice.

Not only can you take advantage of the numerous sales but it always wise to look around the site for any other special offers that are hidden away hiding behind the sale.

If you feel like giving something back after saving so much money why not try looking for shops that sell products that are linked to charity. Damart is selling a limited pink thermal vest and the proceeds from which go to support the Breast Cancer Campaign, so not only do you get to stay warm in your nice Damart thermals in this horrible winter weather we are having but you can feel great that you are doing your bit.

So next time you think about going into town to the shops, why not just sit at the computer instead and surf the web for a smart bargain.

Try before you buy?

With the explosion in online shopping in the last few years, it isn’t crazy to think that more people are buying everything and anything online rather than in shops, including clothing.

We all know great bargains are just waiting to be found on the internet, and clothes are no exception. If you know where to look then great savings can be made. But is this really a replacement for the real thing?

It may as well be a scientific fact that, for women, clothes shopping is not just about the clothes. It’s about a day out with the girls and a chance to look at, and wear, things with the knowledge that no sale will ever take place. And that’s the advantage that real-life shopping has: you can try before you buy.

If you know your size, then you might think you’re alright buying online. But shops often have their own idea about what each size means, so that skimpy dress you bought online yesterday may turn out to be nothing more than great-looking pregnancy clothing.

Fashion online or shop?

Nothing quite beats a day at the shops doing some serious retail therapy trying on all the latest fashions. You can see whether they really suit you and make sure you choose the correct size. You will also be able to see the colour properly and feel the quality of the fabric. If you are buying a whole outfit you will be able to match items together such as a dress with a jacket.

However if you have a very clear idea about exactly what you want to buy, the Internet is an excellent tool. You can buy in the comfort of your own home without having to worry about stripping off in store changing rooms and having to join a huge queue at the tills. You can often get good bargains online too. Even if you live in a very remote place you have clothes from all over the world available for you to buy with the click of a button.
Always ensure that you are buying from a secure site as you will be giving out your personal details. Check too that the postage costs are reasonable.

Lastly, make sure that if you buy online the store has a return policy in case the item does not fit you.

Beating the rush: buy online

Online clothes shopping opens up a whole new wardrobe experience, it allows perusal of thousands of clothes and different brands without having to leave the comfort of your own home and all you have to do is wait for the knock on your door when your goodies arrive.

The benefits are that you can shop from a variety of stores that you may not have access to locally although I would suggest it is important to check the delivery charge and the returns policy prior to purchasing to make sure you will not be out of pocket if you are not completely satisfied with your items.

In terms of hitting the sales you can save yourself the job of queuing for hours and fighting over that top by simply clicking a button. Sounds like heaven to me!
Sizing can be an issue but if you have shopped in store before you can be confident that you are ordering the correct size and with some stores offering free returns why not order several sizes to be sure of a perfect fit!
